iolo's Professional System Mechanic- reviewed: Link to Professional System Mechanic
This program is a must. If you can afford a new computer and and anti-spyware/anti-virus program you need to buy iolo's Professional System Mechanic. I was not at all sold at first, in fact I had planned to return the program to the store where I originally bought it. When I first bought it my computer was headed for a major crash. Iolo's Professional System Mechanic did not prevent that first crash because my computer was already far too corrupt. It actually crashed the computer once I rebooted. I was mad as ever but the computer was headed for a fall anyway. I took the computer to Geeks on Wheels, who might be renamed to "Geeks on some sort of something???" See computer stores reviewed for a full review of Redding California's best and worst computer repair stores. Well at any rate my hard drive was wiped which was probably due to Iolo's Professional System Mechanic. I blamed iolo at first but it was my own fault for letting my computer go so long without fixing it. Since I purchased System Mechanic version 8.5 a new version was released and that is version 9. I am now raving about this new verision 9. If you use it for all it is worth, no program works unless it is used properly, then it will not only prevent a system crash, but it will quicken response and boot time, and help performance greatly. While I am not impressed with the anti-virus program, it does come with Gaurd Dog, (which I unistalled because it keep this program from publishing) and it also has a firewall. If you don't have money for an anti-virus program and you need to make a choice between anti-virus and Professional System Mechanic, you might take a shot at Professional System Mechanic. Of course that all depends on how you use your intranet. If you go to risky places, or do a lot of searching the intranet you will need a better anti-virus / anti-spywear program. http://www.iolo.com/np to the right is a program called Personal System Mechanic. I was madder than a mad hatter when I first bought it. I thought it could fix a machine that was in extremely poor health. I was wrong. WHEN YOUR COMPUTER BECOMES SO UNHEALTHY YOU CAN NO LONGER EVEN SHUT IT OFF FOR FEAR OF A RESTART, REINSTALL THE OPERATING SYSTEM. THAT IS WHY YOU HAVE TO MAKE BACKUPS CONTINUALLY BECAUSE WHEN YOUR COMPUTER CRASHES YOU ARE IN TROUBLE. NO MECHANIC PROGRAM, OR ANTI-VIRUS/ADWARE PROGRAM CAN REPAIR SOMETHING THAT IS TOTALLY SHOT SO DON'T SET YOUR HEIGHTS FOR THE STARS OR YOU WON'T MAKE IT OFF THE GROUND. IF YOUR COMPUTER IS IN VERY POOR HEALTH, DON'T CONTINUE TO DOWNLOAD SCAN "TRIAL" PROGRAMS OR YOU WILL COMPOUND PROBLEMS MAKING THEM WORSE. TRIAL PROGRAMS RUN IN THE BACKGROUND OFTEN DEMANDING A PAYMENT OR FORCING A COMPUTER TO STOP. I will be adding more files to demonstrate how to use this program shortly as well as the use of other programs. I will also be adding more files about how a computer works. Please check back continually as this site is growing. This software listed on this line might be just the ticket to your computer problem if Professional System Mechanic is not. Access Database Recovery Software I never tried it this program but I will let you know how it works once I get some feedback or personally use it. Let's hope I never have to. Note you need to install software like this on your computer first before you use it because when you install the software it could overwrite your data you are trying to recover!!! Data Recovery Pro Software like this you want on your computer before you lose data, because when you install it, there is a small chance it could overwrite the software you want to recover...Know what your computer problem is before you make a download! Remember most software programs will allow you to make a free download and a scan to let you determine if you will need the software program first. If you make a download and run a scan and decide that software is not for you then make sure to uninstall it from your harddrive. RegCure Personal Computer Opitimizer It works but like all programs you have to pay for it. This program and other programs like them will usually only run a scan but only fix a tiny amount of the actual problems on your harddrive. Office Password Recovery Pro Sounds interesting enough. I will have to investigate this site when I have more time. If this is a program to recover lost passwords this might be just the ticket for a lot of folks. Try to keep your passwords in a safe place and realize some passwords may not be broken. If this is the case which I have encountered on clients computers you may have to junk the harddrive.
