Includes a colorful story:
Satan kept arguing with Christian badgering him as always. God the Father wanted to resolve the issue. God said I challenge the two of you to create web sites. Satan sat their stymied, as his lies were catching up with him: "html he thought, I don't have a clue." Of course not he spoke too soon. All he ever did was have a mountain of pride and wanted to become God but never could. So Lucifer Satan's boss, Brock I mean Earnstien, wanted a web site. The beautiful one I handed to him wasn't good enough. He wanted hell's flames and a myriad of evil, meanwhile refusing to pay a penny. Meanwhile Christian worked and slaved away cutting out all forms of pleasure for his web site giving all he could. Meanwhile Christian paid Lucifer for all he possibly could pay even driving himself far into personal debt just to keep lucifer happy. Satan sat months in front of a free computer. For months he had sworn he knew how to run the machine but his primary challenge was to play games with women's minds on MySpace.
To make a very long story short Satanny was working on his site and lightning struck. His computer surged and he lost all data. He was too busy creating lame excuses and wasting his money. With my Battery Backup I printed away right through the storm. I hit save just like Jesus would, Satan doesn't save. He lost his download and didn't even save his site. He then got furious at me.
On a personal note this is a true story.
Battery backups are like anti-virus they are a must. In a low voltage setting voltage stays constant. In a high voltage setting surges are protected from your computer. In the case of a power outage you will save your computer long enough to finish the task and shut down safely. Batteries can save the day if your computer is doing a critical function where to turn it off would cause a serious malfunction. If you can afford anti-spyware you can afford a battery. It is just as critical for operating.

Tips for using a battery backup:
When using a battery backup you can often pull a fair amount of power out of the machine but check the wattage as high wattage appliances can cause the battery to shut down. Since my power supply only has two battery outlets I run one outlet into a power strip and plug in more devices. While more devices plugged in can reduce battery life when power is out, there are some devices that are worthy of mention. A clock for example uses only a few watts and will stay powered when the power is out. Other devices that should be on a battery are the printer if possible. It can be hard as ever on a printer to stop halfway and not finish. Monitors should always be on the battery as it will be impossible to shut down without being able to see what you are doing. It would not hurt to have a battery backup for a notebook computer too. If you are strong enough to lift the battery then a battery backup can provide lots of run time on a computer. This would be good if you are using it in a vehicle and do not want to run your car battery down. There are many uses for battery backups including powered ice chests and whatever suits your imagination. I would contact the manufacturer first because not all batteries may be designed for drainage and continued charges. It never hurts to run items such as a TV to a dedicated battery as well since power outagaes can be fatal to them. Batteries are good for several places in the house. They can even work on phones. Use your imagination and contact the battery manufacturer and have him tell you what each battery is capable of handling.
